Craig E. Neal, D.D.S., M

Some might say that Dr. Craig Neal was born into dentistry! He was born in Frankfurt, Germany at the 97th General Hospital while his father was serving in the Army Dental Corps. Following this brief sojourn in Germany, the Neal family relocated to Seattle, where Dr. Craig grew up. He attended University Preparatory Academy High School and Whitman College in Walla Walla where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Biology and Chemistry. He then went on to dental school at University of Washington where he graduated in 1994 after receiving numerous clinical awards. Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Craig then left for New Orleans, Louisiana, where he began an additional six years of education and training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University. He completed his medical education at LSU as well as a general surgery internship and extensive anesthesia training. During that time, Dr. Craig was trained in a wide variety of contemporary Oral and Maxillofacial surgical procedures. Dr. Craig had the unique opportunity to train with some of the most renowned oral and maxillofacial surgeons in the country. These included: Dr. John Kent, a pioneer in the field of orthognathic surgery and temporomandibar joint dysfunction; Dr. Myron Tucker, a guru in the subspecialty of orthognathic surgery, and Dr. Michael Block, an internationally recognized implant leader. Dr. Craig’s special interests lie in oral and facial reconstructive surgery, orthognathic surgery, as well as implants and grafts. In addition, Dr. Craig has conducted numerous research projects involving the study of implants, distraction osteogenesis, and orthognathic surgery. His work has been published in a number of professional journals. Dr. Craig is married to Michelle Fogg Neal, who is an orthodontist in the Kirkland area. They are the proud parents of two children, Collin and Calleia. They are very excited to be living in the Northwest where they can mountain bike, snowboard, kayak, cycle, and hike.

G. Galia Leonard D.D.S., M.D., PhD

Dr. Galia Leonard is a preeminent head and neck surgeon who has been an assistant professor in the Department Of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Washington for the last eight years. Dr. Leonard is originally from Armenia where she graduated from the Kirov Medical Institute in Yereban, Armenia earning both a dental and a medical degree. She then attended the prestigious Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at the University for Advanced Medical Education in Moscow where she also received a PhD. Dr. Leonard then practiced for two years as a cranio-facial surgeon at Moscow’s St. Vladimir’s Children’s Hospital. Following this training, Dr. Leonard then emigrated to the United States where she completed her training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Washington. Dr. Leonard’s chief assignment has been at Harbor View Medical Center where she is focused on major head and neck trauma, and reconstructive surgery with implants and grafts. She has also been active in research and teaching at the Dental School and University Hospital. Dr. Leonard has published numerous articles,and has lectured extensively on implants, augmentation grafts,sinus lifts, orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, and cleft lip and palate surgery. We are pleased to include this talented colleague as part of our surgical team. Dr. Leonard is board certified by the American Board of Maxillofacial Surgeons and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. She is able to offer consultation and treatment for the full scope of oral and maxillofacial care.

Kyle Sorensen, D.M.D.

Dr. Kyle Sorensen was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and attended the University of Utah for his undergraduate training, earning a bachelor of arts in medical biology. Kyle then moved to New England, where he studied at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and graduated with honors, receiving multiple awards throughout his training, including the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Dental Implant Award and the Pierre Fauchard Academy Foundation Awards for leadership. After graduating from dental school, Kyle and his family moved to Oklahoma, where he spent another four years focusing his training on oral and maxillofacial surgery. During his time at the University of Oklahoma, Kyle was trained to perform the full scope of oral surgery by leaders in the fields of orthognathic surgery, temporomandibularjoint surgery, cleft and craniofacial surgery, major head and neck trauma, dental implants and bone grafts, dentoalveolar surgery and general anesthesia. Dr. Sorensen is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Kyle’s special interests include orthognathic surgery, dental implants, bone grafting, pathology, and dentoalveolar surgery. Kyle, his wife Hillary and three beautiful children are thrilled to be living in the Northwest, where they enjoy camping, kayaking, skiing and hiking.
